- Ten glasses of water a day (at least)
- Infusions (caffeine free)
- Fresh herbs and spices (such as cumin, rosemary, oregano, mint, coriander, thyme, etc).
Sample daily diet for mild liver detoxification
First thing in the morning: Glass of water with juice from half a fresh lemon
Breakfast: Quaker cereal with water and cinnamon, grated apple, nuts; slice of
whole rye bread (no preservatives) with tahini or almond spread
In-between: Fruit and 10 almonds or unsweetened bio-yogurt Lunch: Vegetable
soup (see recipe below), salad of leafy greens with dressing of lemon juice
and olive oil, antipasti from a variety of vegetables, quinoa and a green salad,
whole rice with lentils
In-between: Energy shake or fruit with unsweetened bio yogurt and 10 almonds
Dinner: Leafy vegetable salad with oli ve oi l and lemon juice; hardboiled egg
(twice a week); 2 slices of whole rye bread (no preservatives) with tahini/avocado/
bio yogurt or quaked oats with fruit and almonds or other nuts
Nighttime: Infusion- mint/louisa/lemonit/melisa
Sample lunch recipes
Whole grain rice with lentils Ingredients
Large onions, chopped
Garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cups of whole grain round rice 2 cups green lentils
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons cumin Coarse black pepper 6 cups of water
Heat the onion and the garlic in oil until they are golden color.
Add the rice and mix for several minutes
Add the lentils, water, and seasoning and mix well
Bring to a boil and then continue to cook on a low flame until the water
evaporates. Correct the seasoning.
Hearty vegetable stew ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
1 large leek (white portion) cut in half and sliced 1 large piece of pumpkin cut
5 carrots cut in half and sliced 5 zucchini cut in cubes
1 basket of mushrooms cut in quarters 3-4 red tomatoes cut in cubes
Cut up broccoli
1/4 cabbage cut in strips 1 beet cut into cubes
10 stalks of celery cut into small cubes A handful of chopped parsley
1/3 cup of small white beans 1/3 cup of lentils
1/2 cup of pearl barley, washed and drained Salt and pepper
Water to cover vegetables
In a large pot, heat the oil and lightly fry the onion and leek. Add the rest of the
vegetables, the beans and the lentils and cover with boiling water. Mix, bring
to a boil and continue cooking over a low flame for 45 minutes. Add the barley
and seasoning, mix and continue cooking for 15 minutes.
